The 4-1-1 on Tulane and Nola

Tulane University is located in the city of New Orleans, nestled in a historic upscale neighborhood called Uptown. The campus is situation directly across from the majestic Audubon Park on historic St. Charles Avenue. The campus is quite large and stretches all the way back to Claiborne Avenue and the Broadmoor neighborhood. New Orleans Saints Quarterback, Drew Brees, makes his home a few steps away from Tulane’s academic campus in the antebellum and historic homes that border Audubon Park.

Campus is about 5 miles from the French Quarter and the Central Business District where the Louisiana Superdome is located and where the Greenwave play home games.*

You can arrive to New Orleans via Interstate I-10, US-90, Amtrak train or by flying into Louis Armstrong International Airport (MSY).

*Dave Dixon, brain architect behind the New Orleans Saints and the Superdome, thought that moving Tulane into a "glamorous" covered stadium and dismantling the on-campus Tulane Stadium would be a brilliant idea. May he rest in peace

Tulane Tailgating Primer

Consider this is your UNOFFICIAL Tulane Tailgating Primer created for lost alumni new to Tulane tailgating and visiting fans to our wonderful city by a Professional Greenwave Fan. This is in no way officially affiliated in any manner with Tulane University or Tulane Greenwave Athletics.

These are simply suggestions by a Type A Greenie Dat with too many opinions in her brain. Also, TexanMark, a Syracuse fan, has a site with primers on attending away games with Syracuse opponents and it was very helpful to Coach and Mrs. Hullabaloo when planning our victorious tour of Piscataway, New Jersey the fall of 2010. So I am reciprocating in kind to other fair football visitors to our fine and wonderful city.

For the "Official" Fan Guide issued by Tulane Greenwave Athletics, please click on this link here (it's a PDF file)

If you have any feedback or additional information you think belongs in this primer, well then you just let me know and I’ll consider it!
